He was born in Montevideo in 1955.
He graduated as a Doctor in Medicine in 1983. He went on to complete his specialization in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology.
He joined the Club Atlético Peñarol in 1980 and has been Head of the Medicine Department from 1985 to present date.
Between 1983 and 1992 he worked as appointed Internist Doctor in Casa de Galicia.
Since 1986 he has seen private patients in his clinic located on J. Benito Blanco 752.
Between 1985 and 1997 he was on the Medical Commission of the Uruguayan Olympic Committee, working in the area of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
He currently belongs to the PANATHLON Club of Montevideo.
He provided advice on the high altitude issue to the Uruguayan National Football Team, which played the qualifying rounds for the 2006 World Cup.
He carried out the Medical-Sports Evaluation of the members of the Uruguayan Tennis Team at the Davies Cup.
Medical-Sports evaluation and counselling on the high altitude issue to the Peugeot team that competed in the South American rally in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
